Chuck Bartowski is going to be a popular guy in his second season on NBC.

"Chuck" has lined up even more guest stars for the fall season. In addition to the previously announced Nicole Richie, Tony Hale and Jordana Brewster, Emmy winner John Larroquette, Michael Clarke Duncan and Melinda Clarke have all signed on for guest duty this season.

Executive producer Josh Schwartz says the response to former "Alias" star Kevin Weisman playing a villain last season helped kick the guest-star frenzy into gear. "People really responded to that villain, even if he wasn't necessarily the most nuanced villain we've ever had," he says. "But having an actor who's recognizable in the role really went a long way, because you don't have a lot of screen time with these guys."

Thus, Duncan ("The Green Mile," "Talladega Nights") and Clarke, who worked with Schwartz on "The O.C.," will be playing villains this season. Larroquette, who's coming off "Boston Legal," will be playing Roan Montgomery, a washed-up former spy and "seducer of women" who's called in to help Chuck (Zachary Levi) woo Clarke's "black widow" character.

Additionally, Ben Savage ("Boy Meets World") has been cast as Nicole Richie's husband in an episode where Chuck accompanies Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) to her high-school reunion on a mission and she faces down her former nemesis (Richie), culminating in what Schwartz calls a "badass shower fight sequence where they're attacking each other with pipes and plumbing."

Brewster has signed on for multiple episodes as the girl who broke Chuck's heart in college, while Hale will play the new assistant manager at the Buy More. The show has also signed recently retired New York Giants star Michael Strahan to play a sporting-goods store worker who torments the Buy More crew.
