Pilot role for Josh Cooke and Erinn Hayes

CBS had tapped a pair of familiar faces for lead roles in the comedy pilots "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Worst Week."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Cooke will take a main "Girl" role, while Erinn Hayes has booked the female lead in "Worst Week."

A multi-camera comedy, "My Best Friend's Girl" focuses on two best friends who own a bike shop together. Things get a bit tense when one man (Tim Peper) starts dating the other's (Cooke) ex-wife. Hilarity ensues.

In recent years, Cooke has starred on NBC's short-lived "Committed" and "Four Kings," as well as ABC's short-lived "Big Day."

An Americanized version of the BBC's "The Worst Week of My Life," "Worst Week" stars Kyle Bornheimer as Sam, a man having a pretty bad week that includes a vacation with his fiance's (Hayes) parents.

Hayes co-starred in FOX's short-lived comedy "The Winner" last spring. Her other credits include guest appearances on "Shark," "Notes from the Underbelly" and "Kitchen Confidential." Hayes also did an uncanny Pam Dawber impression for NBC's telefilm "Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of 'Mork & Mindy.'"

In other CBS pilot news, the network has ordered pilot presentations for the dramas "Tower" and "Harper's Island."

"Tower" comes from "Cold Case" creator Meredith Stiehm and focuses on a group of Chicago journalists who also solve crimes.

"Island" will be directed by Jon Turtletaub ("Jericho") and is described as a horror story about a group of friends who meet for a destination wedding at an island off the Seattle coast. Ari Schlossberg wrote the script.
