'According to Jim' Star Gives Birth
It's the first child for Courtney Thorne-Smith
The "According to Jim" actress and her husband, media consultant Roger Fishman, welcomed a baby boy on Friday, Jan. 11, report news sources.
"The parents are thrilled, and the baby is healthy, well and beautiful," says publicist Karen Samfilippo.
The boy, Jacob Emerson Fishman, was born at Los Angleles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Thorne-Smith, 40, wed the elder Fishman on January 1, 2007. It's her second marriage, after splitting from her first husband, genetic scientist Andrew Conrad in 2001 after only 7 months of marriage. The split was deemed a mutual decision at the time.
Thorne-Smith currently stars as Cheryl on ABC's "According to Jim" opposite James Belushi. She's probably best known for playing Alison on "Melrose Place" and later for playing Georgia Thomas on "Ally McBeal."
