David Archuleta Visits 'iCarly'
The 'American Idol' finalist will make his acting debut on the Nickelodeon sitcom
The singer will make his acting debut on an episode of the Nickelodeon show "iCarly," reports Usmagazine.com.
"iCarly is all about super-talented teens so David Archuleta is an ideal fit," says show executive producer and creator Dan Schneider.
The role won't be much of a stretch for Archuleta, 17, who will play a hopeful in a talent competition called "America Sings." Filming will begin Thursday Oct. 2)
"iCarly" stars Miranda Cosgrove as a teen who has her own web-based show.
In May, Archuleta became the runner-up on the seventh "American Idol." He released his first single, "Crush," in August and will release his self-titled debut album next month.
