Following the general industry trend, FOX has looked across The Pond to cast the female lead in its legal dark comedy "Courtroom K."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Megan Dodds will join the Paul Attanasio created series which focuses on a judge, a prosecutor and a public defender working in and around a Milwaukee superior courthouse.

The trade paper says that Dodds will play the public defender. The only actor previous announced for the pilot, Jonathan Sadowski, is also playing a public defender according to the trade.

Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are directing the pilot, which comes from 20th Century Fox TV.

Although she was born in California, Dodds has long been London-based and her credits include the British TV favorites "MI-5," "Viva Blackpool" and "Hotel Babylon."
