Donal Logue Joins HBO's '1%'
W. Earl Brown, Marisa Ryan also cast in pilot
The former "Grounded for Life" and "Knights of Prosperity" star has signed on to star in HBO's pilot "1%," playing the leader of a biker gang in Arizona. Former "Deadwood" regular W. Earl Brown and Marisa Ryan have also joined the cast, the showbiz trade papers report.
It's the second show Logue has booked this month. NBC announced last week that he will also join the cast of "Life" in the fall.
Logue's other credits include "Zodiac," "Ghost Rider" and "The Tao of Steve."
"The Player" scribe Michael Tolkin created "1%," which focuses on the Carefree, Ariz., chapter of one of the country's more notorious biker gangs. Logue will play a guy named Misfit, who's dispatched from California to bring some order to the Carefree chapter. Brown, who played tough guy Dan Dority on HBO's "Deadwood," will play another member of the club, and Ryan ("Major Dad," "Wet Hot American Summer") will play the wife of another member.
Timm Sharp ("Undeclared"), Lucy Punch ("The Class") and Sonny Barger are also in the cast.
