D.W. Moffett Game for 'Life Is Wild'
Actor replaces Brett Cullen as a veterinarian
Only a couple days after the CW replaced its female lead on "Reaper," the green network is recasting its lead actor in another upcoming fall show.D.W. Moffett will step in for Brett Cullen, who played the animal-loving patriarch in the "Life Is Wild" pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The drama based on a British series is about a veterinarian (Moffett) who transplants his family into a game preserve in South Africa.
"Life Is Wild" is part of the CW's new Sunday lineup, which includes two alternative programming shows -- newsmagazine "CW Now" and "Online Nation" -- "Life Is Wild" and an encore presentation of "America's Next Top Model."
Moffett, 52, can be seen on the final episodes of the CW's drama "Hidden Palms." His other TV and film credits include "Crossing Jordan," "Cold Case," "Commander in Chief," "Grey's Anatomy," "Stealing Beauty," "Traffic" and "Thirteen."
On June 25, the CW similarly replaced its female lead Nikki Reed with "Heroes" actress Missy Peregrym.
