'The View's' Elisabeth Hasselbeck Has a Boy
This is the TV host's second child
"The View" cohost and her husband, NFL quarterback Tim Hasselback, welcomed a baby boy, Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck, into their family Friday morning (Nov. 9) in Arizona. Elisabeth Hasselbeck called into Monday's (Nov. 12) show to reveal the baby's name.
"I tried to hold out for your birthday tomorrow," joked Hasselbeck to Whoopi Goldberg. "I think I pushed for about 35 minutes. I think I was in labor four or five thousand hours.
Taylor weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces at birth. Hasselbeck, the proud conservative of the group, also joked that she gave birth while watching President Bush. She also encouraged fill-in host Laura Ingram to not "let those liberal ladies get you down."
Taylor is already recognizing the voice of his big sister Grace, 2, who is delighted with her new sibling.
Hasselbeck also announced that she will be back at work after the holidays, around January 6.
Hasselbeck, 30, and her husband, 29, moved to Arizona in October, after he signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals. She took time off for maternity leave and the move.
Hasselbeck first appeared on TV as a contestant on "Survivor: The Australian Outback," finishing fourth. She was also the host for Style's "The Look for Less" before moving to "The View" in 2003.
