Fall TV Preview
Fall 2008 television news
The 2008 upfronts, which usually herald the beginning of hype for the 2008-09 season, are significantly less hype-ish than usual. One network -- NBC -- has already presented its schedule, and the others doing so this week are toning down the star power and lavish parties in favor of more no-nonsense presentations. Also somewhat lacking: Actual clips and photos of new series, thanks to a late start on pilot season coming out of the writers' strike earlier in the year. That doesn't mean, however, that we're slacking off on our coverage. We'll have breakdowns of all the new shows, schedule grids, news and opinions, as well as instantaneous Twitter updates from the upfronts in New York. Zap2it will have all you need to know to get ready for the new season.
