Actor, wife welcome first child

LOS ANGELES -- Fred Savage, the former star of "The Wonder Years," is about the enter the diaper years.

The actor and his wife, Jennifer Lynn Stone, had their first child over the weekend. The 6-pound, 13-ounce boy was born Saturday, according to several news sources.

Both Stone and the baby, whose parents haven't settled on a name yet, are reportedly in good health.

In the late 1980s, Savage was the most famous 12-year-old in America when he starred on "The Wonder Years," the Emmy-winning series about a family in the 1960s. He has since starred in the NBC comedy "Working" and ABC's "Crumbs," which had a brief run last season.

Savage also has worked as a director of kids' shows like the Disney Channel's "Phil of the Future" (on which he's also a producer) and Nickelodeon's "Drake & Josh" and "Zoey 101," along with more grown-up fare such as "Kitchen Confidential."

Stone and Savage were childhood friends but lost touch when he moved to Los Angeles to shoot "The Wonder Years." They reconnected as adults and have been married for two years.
