New episodes will air in January 2009
According to the industry trade papers, "Nip/Tuck" will launch a run of fresh episodes on Tuesday, Jan. 6, while "Damages" will premiere its new season the following night. Both shows will air in the 10 p.m. hour.
This will be the second part of the fifth season of "Nip/Tuck." The Dylan Walsh/Julian McMahon plastic surgery drama, one of basic cable's top shows in the 18-34 demo, will air eight new episodes.
"Damages" will be back for its second season 13-episode season. William Hurt joins the cast of a drama that won a trio of Emmys this fall, including an outstanding lead actress trophy for Glenn Close. "Damages" was also nominated for outstanding drama series, losing to AMC's "Mad Men."
