Previous 12 episodes still can be streamed

Set your DVRs because if you miss the returning episodes of "Gossip Girl," you might not be able to catch up anytime soon.

The CW announced that they won't stream the five new episodes of its buzzworthy show that returns to air on Monday, April 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

"For these next five weeks the epicenter of the 'Gossip Girl' universe will be on The CW's broadcast television airwaves," said Dawn Ostroff, President, Entertainment for the network.

Fans, however, can catch the encore airing of an episode the following Sunday at 6 p.m. ET/PT.

The previous 12 episodes will continue to be available on iTunes and for streaming on cwtv.com.

To keep the online interaction alive, there will also be exclusive "Gossip Girl" online content: post-episode interviews with executive producer Josh Schwartz who will provide commentary, analysis and a tease of future story arcs; behind-the-scenes moments with the cast shooting in New York City; two-minute trailer recaps of just-aired episodes and contests in which fans can win various prizes ranging from hosting viewing parties to a trip to Manhattan.
