Tricia Helfer is expected to topline a FOX drama

There will be life after "Battlestar Galactica" for Tricia Helfer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Helfer has inked a one-year talent holding deal with FOX, with plans to have the actress star in a drama series project for the network.

FOX has shown previous interest in the Sci Fi Channel star, who plays Number Six on the soon-to-end "Battlestar Galactica." Last year, Helfer was one of the leads in the Jonathan Mostow-directed drama pilot "Them."

The fourth and final season of "Battlestar Galactica" premiered on Sci Fi last week.

A Canadian-born model-turned-actress, Helfer was also seen last year in an episode of The CW's "Supernatural." Her next feature project is the upcoming "Walk All Over Me."
