More Wildcats are on the way. It's just a question of which ones.

Disney Channel announced that it already has "High School Musical 4" in the works, even though the big-screen "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" won't hit theaters until late October.

"We are writing 'High School Musical 4,' " confirms Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Unlike the theatrical release for "HSM 3," however, the fourth installment will likely return to the franchise's TV movie roots.

Since "HSM 3" is focused on the students' senior year, it's likely new characters will be introduced that can carry on the Wildcats tradition for the next movie since some characters will necessarily have to graduate and move on. This means that fans may have to say good-bye to actors Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman.

"Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not," says Ross. "Will we have some of them? I hope so."

"HSM 3" starts shooting in Utah in two weeks.
