Jennifer Beals seals 'Lie to Me' deal
'L Word' star will guest on multiple episodes
Beals, who's coming off Showtime's "The L Word," will guest-star in an arc as Cal's (Tim Roth) ex-wife. Her first episode is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29.
Her character, Zoe Landau, is an assistant U.S. attorney who hires the Lightman Group to help solve an arson case. When she and Cal start working together, it becomes clear that they haven't resolved all their feelings for one another.
Beals played Bette Porter for six seasons on "The L Word," which ended earlier this month. After rising to fame in "Flashdance," she starred in "Vampire's Kiss," "Devil in a Blue Dress" and "Runaway Jury," among others. She's also guested on "Frasier" and "Law & Order."
She's currently filming the post-apocalyptic western "The Book of Eli" with Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman.
