Aniston Digs 'Dirt' with Cox
'Friends' star will guest in season finale
Last week, "Dirt" star Courteney Cox had this to say about the possibility of her buddy Jennifer Aniston appearing on the show:"We were just on vacation together [and talking about] if you came on the show if it was picked up or whatever what -- you know, would you want to play yourself, or should we just write some fantastic character for you. ... So I don't know. It's just, we'll come up with something good if it happens."
Now, it has happened. FX announced Monday that Aniston will guest-star in the season finale of "Dirt," which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27. She'll play a character named Tina Harrod, the editor of a rival magazine to Lucy Spiller's (Cox) DirtNow.
The guest spot will be Aniston's first TV role since "Friends" ended its run on NBC in 2004, as well as the first time she and Cox have worked together since then.
"Dirt," which also stars Ian Hart, Josh Stewart and Laura Allen, is averaging 3 million viewers over its first two episodes. About two-thirds of those viewers fall into the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
