Sex tape release is still merely a rumor

Former "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra is out of jail and heading for rehab.

Cooped up in the Falkenburg Road Jail since Dec. 1, Sierra exited prison on Wednesday (Jan. 9) morning after being sentenced Monday to a year in an in-house California drug treatment facility, according to media reports.

Sierra, who was receiving medical care in jail stemming from her pregnancy, was arrested last month for misdemeanor intoxication and resisting an officer without violence. Those charges violated Sierra's probation stemming from an April arrest at a Florida nightclub, a bust that also saw her charged with a felony cocaine possession.

Monday's sentencing, which also includes three years of post-rehab probation, featured a court appearance on Sierra's behalf by Drew Pinsky, host of the VH1 series "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew." Sierra's arrest came after taping the series, which premieres on Thursday and appears not to have exactly worked in this case.

Sierra finished the 2005 season of "American Idol" in 10th place, just ahead of Mikalah Gordon and just behind Nikko Smith.
