But her body's back to normal now

Jessica Simpson has 'fessed up to getting a bit of help up top.

The singer-actress says she artificially plumped up her lips last fall, but wasn't too keen on the exaggerated results, reports Glamour.

"I had that Restylane stuff," she tells the fashion magazine's October edition. "It looked fake to me. I didn't like that. But ... it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!"

Restylane is a non-animal, biodegradable gel made in Sweden that's reportedly safer to use for such enhancements than collagen is.

Simpson, 26, is currently promoting the release of her latest album, "A Public Affair," but in a limited capacity because of laryngitis. As a single woman who's now divorced from her "Newlyweds" co-star Nick Lachey, she's reportedly been dating fellow singer John Mayer and is looking forward to the October release of her film "Employee of the Month" opposite Dane Cook and Dax Shepard.
