Amy Jo Johnson, Rosamund Pike and Marcia Gay Harden head to 'Flashpoint' and 'The Tower'

A trio of actresses have been added to the casts of CBS' "Flashpoint" and "The Tower."

We'll lead off with "Flashpoint," since CBS has already given a 13-episode summer commitment to the police drama, a co-production with Canada's CTV.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Jo Johnson will co-star in "Flashpoint" playing a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

That's nearly as funny as being a former member of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, which Johnson also is. The erstwhile Pink Ranger also appeared in "Felicity" and has recently been seen in episodes of "Wildfire" and "What About Brian."

The "Flashpoint" cast also includes Enrico Colantoni and David Paetkau.

On the pilot front, Marcia Gay Harden and Rosamund Pike are the latest familiar faces to join "The Tower," which focuses on a group of journalists who try to investigate and solve the crimes they're reporting on.

Harden, an Oscar winner for "Pollock," will play the newspaper's new owner, in her return to the network where she was a series regular on "The Education of Max Bickford."

Pike, whose credits include "Doom," "Fracture" and "Pride & Prejudice," will play a political reporter.

Harden and Pike will join Cole Hauser and CCH Pounder in the Chicago-set drama.
