Spike Investigates 'S.I.S.' Pilot
Keith David to star in cop show
David will play an assistant chief in the Los Angeles Police Department who heads a secret unit -- the Special Investigation Squad, hence the title -- that investigates major crimes, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The two-hour movie could also serve as the pilot for a series if it's well-received; a premiere date hasn't been scheduled.
The cast also include Omari Hardwick ("The Guardian," "Saved"), Colleen Porch ("Transformers"), Matt Nable and Peter Stebbings ("Jeremiah").
John Herzfeld ("2 Days in the Valley," "15 Minutes") wrote the pilot and will direct as well. He also serves as an executive producer with Neal Moritz ("Prison Break," "I Am Legend") and Vivian Cannon.
David's recent credits include "First Sunday," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "Crash" and a recurring part on "ER." He also narrated PBS' miniseries "The War" this season.
