10 new episodes will begin in January

Already renewed for a third season, "Kyle XY" will return to conclude its second season in January.

Season 2-B on "Kyle XY" will premiere on Monday, January 14 on ABC Family, beginning a run of 10 new episodes.

The show's 13-episode 2-A season concluded in September and ABC Family ordered another 10-episode run of the adventures of Kyle (Matt Dallas) and his adoptive family a month later.

That's a lot of "Kyle XY."

In the 2-A season, "Kyle XY" has introduced another subject from Zzyzx, a girl named Jessi (Jaimie Alexander). The Trager household has gone through their own upheaval with Stephen changing jobs, Nicole second-guessing herself, Lori dealing with her breakup with Declan and Josh befriending Andi. In the meantime, Kyle had been torn between nurturing his fledgling romance with Amanda and seeing to his duties, which include dealing with Jessi and honing his unique skills.

Of course, Jessi was last seen leaping off a cliff into a raging river. Somehow we suspect the show hasn't seen the last of her.

This past summer, "Kyle XY" won a Television Critics Association for best children's programming, beating out the likes of "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Dora the Explorer."
