Raise will make her one of TV's best-paid actresses

"The Closer" star Kyra Sedgwick is having a pretty good week.

On Monday, the actress won a Golden Globe for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson on the TNT series. Now she's reportedly getting a pay bump that will make her one of the highest-paid actresses on television.

The new deal will pay her in the range of $250,000 to $300,000 per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In return, Sedgwick agrees to extend her term on the show from six seasons to seven.

"The Closer" is the most-watched series on ad-supported cable, drawing 6.65 million viewers per week in its second season last summer. That's a 21-percent jump over the show's first season; its adults 18-49 audience also grew by 17 percent, to 2.26 million viewers a week.

The show's third season is due in the summer of 2007.

In addition to her Golden Globe win, Sedgwick has also been nominated for an Emmy and two Screen Actors Guild awards for her role on the series.
