HBO's 'Last of the Ninth' Adds Five
'Jericho,' 'Lost' alums join David Milch's pilot
HBO's cop-show pilot "Last of the Ninth" has beefed up its cast, adding veterans of "Lost" and "Jericho" to its ensemble of actors.Five actors -- Fredric Lehne, Michael Gaston, Lily Rabe, Clifton Powell and Michael Raymond-James -- have signed on to the David Milch-created pilot, which is set in New York in the early 1970s. The show centers on the relationship between a young undercover cop (Jonah Lotan) and a veteran detective (Ray Winstone).
Gaston, who played Gray Anderson on CBS' cult favorite "Jericho," will play the lieutenant in charge of the NYPD's 9th Precinct, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His credits also include ABC's "Blind Justice" and Showtime's "Brotherhood."
Lehne will play a detective with a drinking problem. He's best known as the marhsal who tracked Kate (Evangeline Lilly) to Australia on "Lost"; he's also appeared on "Supernatural," "The Closer" and "Ghost Whisperer."
Powell ("Ray," "Norbit") and Raymond-James ("True Blood") will also play detectives. Rabe (the upcoming "What Just Happened?") will play a plainclothes officer in the precinct and a possible love interest for Lotan's character.
