'Lost' Stars Hoping to Find More Money
Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly seek raises
Two members of "Lost's" Oceanic Six are looking to be a little better compensated now that they're back on dry land.ABC Studios, which produces the show, has opened contract negotiations with series stars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly. The two actors currently make about $150,000 apiece per episode and are seeking raises, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The talks may end up costing the studio more than it planned, however: The trade paper says that when word got out about negotiations with Lilly and Fox, representatives for several other cast members asked to renegotiate as well. Most of the ensemble earns in the high five figures per episode.
Fox's Jack Shephard and Lilly's Kate Austen have been central to the "Lost" mythology from the show's start. Both characters are part of the Oceanic Six, a group that made it back to civilization last season and are part of an elaborate cover story about what really happened after their plane crashed.
Two seasons of the show remain. ABC will debut the fifth season of "Lost" early next year.
