Singer fills in for Janet Jackson this weekend

What do you do when a music superstar has to drop out of your TV show? If you're "Saturday Night Live," you find an equally big name to replace her.

Mariah Carey will be the musical guest on Saturday's episode of the show, which is capping off four consecutive post-writers' strike episodes. Janet Jackson had been scheduled to perform, but dropped out after coming down with the flu.

"Superbad" star Jonah Hill is hosting the show.

This week will mark Carey's fourth appearance on "Saturday Night Live," but her first in more than a decade. She'll be appearing in advance of the release of her latest album, "E=MC2," which is due out next month. The first single from the album, "Touch My Body," currently sits at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Now that Carey is booked for "SNL," don't be surprised if Jack "Kenneth the Page" McBrayer of "30 Rock" makes a cameo appearance on the show. Carey is a self-professed fan of the show, and McBrayer appears in the video for "Touch My Body."
