Lover Sues LeBlanc for Defamation
Woman denies giving sitcom star a lapdance
Stephanie Stephens filed a suit against the former "Friends" star for defamation over comments he allegedly made about her that were published in the National Enquirer, report news sources.
In her lawsuit, she says that LeBlanc described her as sexually aggressive, giving him a lap dance in a private room and participating in a "night of sexual debauchery ... at her place of employment" with him. The tabloid reported that these comments were made to an unspecified person in August 2005.
Stephens denies ever giving the actor a lap dance and claims she was never sexually aggressive with him. "All sexual contact between the defendant and the plaintiff took place in the privacy of [Stephens'] residence," the suit adds, but never details just what the nature of their relationship was.
The suit doesn't mention what damages she's seeking nor name the National Enquirer as a defendant.
The suit isn't the best news for LeBlanc, 39, whose sitcom "Joey" was canceled and whose nearly three-year marriage to Melissa McKnight is ending after they've separated and entered into divorce proceedings.
