New Name, Premiere Date for CBS' 'Captain'
The premiere for 'The New Adventures of Old Christine' also gets pushed back a week
Forget everything you know about CBS' midseason comedy formerly titled "The Captain." For many of you, that shouldn't be hard.Originally scheduled to premiere on Monday, Jan. 28 in the 8:30 p.m. ET timeslot after "How I Met Your Mother," "The Captain" has had its debut shifted to Monday, Feb. 4 in the same time period.
In addition to the new premiere, "The Captain" has now become "Welcome to The Captain." The series stars Fran Kranz as a young man who moves into the El Capitan, a fabled Hollywood apartment complex. The building's employees and assortment of wacky residents are played by Chris Klein, Jeffrey Tambor, Raquel Welch, Al Madrigal, Valerie Azlynn and Joanna Garcia.
Also pushed off of Jan. 28, the date of the annual State of the Union address, is the return of the Emmy-winning comedy "The New Adventures of Old Christine," which will start its new season on Feb. 4 at 9:30 p.m.
