Paul Blackthorne will be the fifth CEO

Paul Blackthorne, who plays a wizard private eye on "The Dresden Files," will have the magic touch when it comes to money on ABC.

The British actor will join the cast of ABC's "Big Shots" as a successful tycoon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show centers on four high-powered executives and CEOs (Joshua Malina, Dylan McDermott, Christopher Titus, Michael Vartan) who pal around at the same golf club and confide in each other about their private lives. Blackthorne will join the cast as the "fifth CEO," a recurring character who draws the envy and admiration of the four men.

"Big Shots" will follow "Grey's Anatomy" on Thursday nights this fall on ABC.

Blackthorne most recently played the wizard Harry on Sci Fi Channel's "The Dresden Files." He also appeared in recurring roles on "ER" and "24."
