ABC Fall TV Preview

ABC Fall TV Preview: ABC has enjoyed a pretty remarkable renaissance in the past two years, but most of that rebound has come on the backs of just a few shows. Lost, Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars are still going strong, but the network is trying really hard to build a deeper schedule this season, its first in over 35 years without Monday Night Football.

As a result, ABC has jumped a little deeper into the comedy waters this year, launching four new half-hour shows (two of which will likely come after Dancing finishes later in the fall) as well as the hour-long Ugly Betty, which could also be considered comedy. Dramas still play a prominent role as well, with five new ones hitting the air between now and November.
