Zap2it Fall TV Preview 2006: CBS' New Shows
First place in the ratings has its spoils, one of them being that you don't have to remake your schedule too much. CBS is sticking with what got it to the top, adding only four new series to its lineup this fall.
Two of those four -- comedy "The Class" and legal drama "Shark" -- stick pretty close to the network's tried-and-true formula. The network is going out on a limb (a short, stable one, anyway) with the dark drama "Jericho," about a town cut off from the world after a nuclear explosion, and "Smith," a crime show about the criminals. With sizable returning hits on pretty much every night, though, it's easy to see why there aren't any big leaps in this bunch.
