Zap2it Fall TV Preview 2006: New Movies

Zap2it Fall TV Preview 2006: New Movies: Cracker: A New Terror

Premieres: Oct. 30
Airs on: BBC America

What’s It All About? Starring Robbie Coltrane and Anthony Flanagan, Kenny, a soldier turned policeman, is tormented by memories of a deadly bombing in Northern Ireland, memories recalled each time TV reports cover the bloody insurgency in Iraq. During a night of heavy drinking, he kills an American comic who delivered a politically charged routine. As Dr. Edward “Fitz” Fitzgerald, the criminal psychologist assigned to the murder investigation, sees Kenny’s behavior become ever more erratic, he begins to suspect that the policeman is the killer. This new addition to the Cracker series succeeds both as drama and as a sobering look at the psychological effects of war.
