FOX's New Shows for the 2006-07 Season

FOX's New Shows for the 2006-07 Season: Talk Show with Spike Feresten
Late Night

Premise: Emmy-nominated writer Spike Feresten (Seinfeld, The Late Show with David Letterman) talks to famous people and puts his own spin on traditional talk show formats like sketches and field pieces.

First Impressions: Spike Feresten hasnt spent a lot of time in front of a camera -- although he does point out his role as Juror #5 in the finale of Seinfeld, one of several shows for which hes written. Still, some of the practice-show bits FOX previewed were pretty darn funny, and given some time to get comfortable, Feresten could follow a trajectory similar to that of another writer-turned-host, Conan OBrien. It may not necessarily make you want to stay home or stay up late on Saturday, but it could certainly become TiVo-worthy.
