20 Good Years Comedy Premise: Two middle-aged men decide to make the most of their upcoming golden years. First Impressions: It's big, broad comedy, the kind that both of the show's stars, John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor, excel at doing. And there's probably enough built-in interest from Lithgow fans and "Arrested Development" cultists to ensure that the show will at least get a look. But it won't be for everyone's taste, and is markedly different in tone from the other comedies on NBC's schedule. Props, at least, to the network for recognizing that people over 50 watch, and can star in, a TV show. Stars: John Lithgow ("3rd Rock from the Sun"), Jeffrey Tambor ("Arrested Development"), Heather Burns ("Bewitched"), Jake Sandvig ("The Story of Us") Studio: Warner Bros. Television Producers: Marsh McCall ("Just Shoot Me"), Michael Leeson ("The Cosby Show"), Tom Werner ("Roseanne," "The Cosby Show"), Eric Gold, Jimmy Miller ("Kicking & Screaming"), Mike Clements |
