NBC's New Shows for the 2006-07 Season

NBC's New Shows for the 2006-07 Season: The Black Donnellys
Midseason Drama

Premise: Four brothers become involved in organized crime in New Yorks Hells Kitchen.

First Impressions: In Crash, writers Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco didnt exactly paint with the finest of brushes. Things here may be a little more nuanced, given that theyll have more time to unfold the story of four fiercely loyal Irish-American brothers. But the story of a man reluctantly drawn into a criminal enterprise out of loyalty and unfortunate circumstance is hardly a new one. Theres a nice look to the show, but given that the cast is made up largely of relative newcomers, NBC will really have to sell the story and the pedigree of Haggis and Moresco.

Stars: Kirk Acevedo (Law & Order: Trial by Jury), Olivia Wilde (The O.C.), Tom Guiry (Mystic River), Billy Lush (Huff), Keith Nobbs (Phone Booth), Michael Stahl-David, Jonathan Tucker (Hostage)

Studio: NBC Universal TV

Producers: Paul Haggis (Crash, EZ Streets), Bobby Moresco (Crash)
