The CW's New Shows for the 2006-07 Season

The CW's New Shows for the 2006-07 Season: The Game
Comedy

Premise: In this spin-off of Girlfriends, a woman is about to learn the realities of dating a pro football player, the glitz and the disadvantages.

First Impressions: It comes from the Girlfriends creative team and, like that show, revolves around a group of women, so you already know a fair amount about what youre going to get. Which is a little bit of broad humor, some occasionally sharp writing and characters who dont suffer fools easily. The pilot pulled decent ratings when it aired as an episode of Girlfriends in April, and paired with its parent show next season theres no reason to think they wont be compatible.

Stars: Aldis Hodge (American Dreamz), Coby Bell (Third Watch), Tia Mowry (Sister, Sister), Hosea Chanchez (Everwood), Wendy Raquel Robinson (Something New)

Studio: CBS Paramount Network Television

Producers: Kelsey Grammer (Medium), Mara Brock-Akil (Girlfriends), Steve Stark (Medium)
