Raver joins Shields in NBC's 'Lipstick Jungle'

Multiple Emmy nominee Peter Krause is coming back to network TV, taking the lead in an ABC pilot called "Dirty Sexy Money."

The former "Six Feet Under" star tops the list of actors taking pilot roles. The latest batch also includes Kim Raver in NBC's "Lipstick Jungle," Miranda Otto in the similarly themed "Cashmere Mafia" at ABC, Rutger Hauer in The CW's "Wild at Heart" and Moon Bloodgood in NBC's "Journeyman."

"Dirty Sexy Money" will star Krause as a lawyer who inherits a wealthy, law-bending family as clients from his late father, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Former "Six Feet Under" scribe Craig Wright wrote the pilot and is executive producing with Greg Berlanti ("Brothers & Sisters," "Everwood").

The pilot will be the first network project for Krause since "Sports Night" ended its run on ABC in 2000. He went onto earn three Emmy nominations for playing Nate Fisher on "Six Feet Under" and starred in the Sci Fi Channel miniseries "The Lost Room" late last year.

Also at ABC, Otto ("The Lord of the Rings," USA's upcoming "Starter Wife") has signed onto Darren Star's "Cashmere Mafia," about the friendships among a group of four successful women. Otto will play one of them, an executive at a cosmetics firm.

Over at NBC, Raver -- who's coming off ABC's "The Nine" -- will star with Brooke Shields in "Lipstick Jungle," which is also about a group of powerful female friends. The former "24" and "Third Watch" regular will play a magazine editor.

Bloodgood, who starred in ABC's "Day Break" this season, is joining "Journeyman" as the ex-fiancee of Kevin McKidd's time traveler.

Finally, Hauer ("Sin City," "Batman Begins") will star in "Wild at Heart" (a working title) as the father-in-law of a New York veterinarian who moves his family to South Africa. The project is slated to shoot on location for as long as it runs.
