Ramsay Dreams 'Kitchen Nightmares' for FOX
Crazed chef will yell at failing restauranteurs
LOS ANGELES -- Gordon Ramsay, star of FOX's "Hell's Kitchen," is bring another slice of cooking-fueled terror to the network.FOX has ordered up "Kitchen Nightmares," a new unscripted series from the mercurial Ramsay, based on a format that has already found success on the BBC and BBC America and in 50-plus territories around the world.
Ramsay will start production in February on the new version "Kitchen Nightmares," in which he brings his own manner of tough love to failing restaurants. In one week, he has to shape up the lazy waiters, refine the disappointing cuisine and transform the entire dining experience from dysfunctional to divine.
Expect plenty of shouting and bulging veins.
Executive producers on "Kitchen Nightmares" are Arthur Smith, Pat Llewellyn, Kent Weed, Gerry McKean and Curt Northrup.
The third season of "Hell's Kitchen," Ramsay's demographically popular culinary boot-camp, is expected to begin production later this month and may make it to air on FOX later this spring.
