Misdemeanor charges stem from October arrest

Actress Rebecca De Mornay has been formally charged with DUI after being arrested two months ago.

The "John from Cincinnati" star was charged Thursday with two counts stemming from her October arrest -- one for driving under the influence and one for driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent, according to news reports. She tested at .09 percent following the arrest.

The 48-year-old star of "Risky Business" and "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle" was pulled over in Beverly Hills on Oct. 30 for a traffic violation. Officers smelled alcohol on her breath and gave her a field sobriety test, which she failed. She also failed a breath test, which led to the second count.

De Mornay is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, although she won't necessarily have to be in court.

De Mornay co-starred in HBO's "John from Cincinnati" earlier this year and has also had recurring parts on "ER" and "The Practice." Her movie credits include "Wedding Crashers," "Lords of Dogtown" and "Backdraft" in addition to her breakthrough role in "Risky Business."
