'Arrested Development' Reunion on FOX's 'Shut Up'
Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Henry Winkler lend voices to Mitch Hurwtiz's latest
Mitch Hurwitz has rounded up a trio of "Arrested Development" veterans for his latest FOX pilot.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Henry Winkler will lend their voices to the table read for "Sit Down, Shut Up," an animated project Hurwitz is trying to mount at FOX.
"Sit Down, Shut Up" is based on a short-lived Australian sitcom about a group of high school teachers who care more about their own insecurities than about the needs of their students. FOX has ordered a table read which, if successful, would lead directly to a series order, skipping the standard pilot or presentation process.
In addition to the three "Arrested Development" favorites, the table read cast will also include Cheri Oteri, Will Forte, Regina King, Nick Kroll, Tom Kenny and Maria Bamford.
In other casting news, Ben Feldman ("Living with Fran") has landed one of leads in CBS' "Can Openers," playing a first-year resident in the neurosurgery drama.
