Stacy Keibler Kicks It With 'Samurai Girl'
Former wrestler will play lead's rival
Stacy Keibler, who performed fancy footwork on "Dancing With the Stars," is taking those long legs to ABC Family.The former wrestler has joined the cable network's upcoming series "Samurai Girl," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Samurai Girl," based on the popular young adult novels, centers on 19-year-old Heaven (Jamie Chung), a Japanese girl who learns that her adoptive father is the head of the Yakuza and possibly had her brother murdered. She leaves her family to train in the ways of the samurai and to plot against her father's evil empire with the help of her new American friends.
Keibler will portray Heaven's rival and the ex-fiancee of Jake (Brendan Fehr), Heaven's love interest.
"Samurai Girl," a six-hour special event premiering on Sept. 5, also stars Saige Thompson, Kyle Labine, Anthony Brandon Wong, Steven Brand and Keneth Choi.
Keibler, 28, placed third in the second season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" and is a former pro wrestler.
