FOX Shuffles 'Standoff' to Summer
'Hell's Kitchen' premiere moves up two weeks
FOX has moved the return of "Standoff" to this summer and pushed up the premiere of "Hell's Kitchen," the latest shifts in the network's perpetually in-flux schedule.Remember that elaborate summer roster FOX went to the trouble of announcing last month? Forget about it. The network keeps shaking things up.
FOX revealed on Wednesday (March 28) that "Hell's Kitchen" will now premiere on Monday, June 4, rather than its previously slated June 25 launch date. In addition, the network said that "Hell's Kitchen" will take the 9 p.m. ET time period on Mondays, which means that the previously slated Monday slot for Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett's "On the Lot" will now move up an hour to 8 p.m. ET.
"On the Lot," you might recall, already had its premiere date pushed back a week to Tuesday, May 22 to capitalize on the first part of the "American Idol" finale.
The Tuesday "On the Lot" results shows will air at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and "'Til Death" will make its summer time period premiere on Tuesday, June 5 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
In addition, FOX finally revealed its master plan for "Standoff." The freshman series received a somewhat surprising back-nine pick-up last fall (saving FOX from having all of its fall dramas prematurely cancelled), but the network never announced where the show was going. In January FOX said that "Standoff" would go to Friday nights starting this spring.
Well, that's not happening either.
Instead, Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt will return to their negotiating ways on Friday, June 8 at 9 p.m. with a new episode following a repeat of "Bones," which FOX is shifting to Fridays for the warm summer months.
As always with FOX, any scheduling moves are subject to change.
