Bud Light takes the top two spots

A beer commercial featuring comic Carlos Mencia topped TiVo's list of most viewed Super Bowl commercials.

The Bud Light spot, titled "Language Course with Carlos Mencia," beat out Bud Light's "Rock Paper Scissors" ad for the title during Sunday (Feb. 4) night's game.

This information was prepared using aggregated, anonymous, second-by-second audience measurement data about how TiVo subscribers watched the game. The data was based on a sample of 10,000 TiVo households.

Following the two Bud Light ads were FedEx's "Don't Judge" spot and Nationwide's endlessly discussed Kevin Federline commercial. A pair of user-submitted Doritos ads were at No. 5 and No. 8, with CareerBuilder's "Office Jungle" and Blockbuster's "Mouse" between them.

"Once again, the commercials were the big winner with the top spots drawing more viewership than any of the action on the field," says Todd Juenger, vice president & General Manager, Audience Research and Measurement at TiVo, without any substantiation.
