Something wicked this way comes to Bravo in August.

The wickedly acerbic Tabatha Coffey will return to cable with her new Bravo series "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The Australian native who made enemies and fans by her straight-talking, slightly frightening run on the first season of "Shear Genius" will offer her advice to desperate salon owners struggling to turn their businesses around.

But Coffey doesn't have the gentle avuncular style of mentoring that "Project Runway's" Tim Gunn employs. Instead, her blunt, no-nonsense approach sometimes drives the Los Angeles and New York salon owners to tears as she assesses all the salon's problems. In a week, she has to fix the salons' cleanliness, customer service, professionalism, business practices and overall styling techniques

On the show, Coffey will target Ten Salon and De Cielo Salon in the Los Angeles area as well as Martino-Giovanni & Pileggi, Images Hair Salon and Tika Salon in the New York area.

Coffey actually has the experience to back up her attitude. She began her career as a salon assistant at the age of 14 in her homeland of Surfer's Paradise, Australia and a year later began a four-year apprenticeship program in her country followed by an additional eight years of training in London. She's been working in the beauty field in the U.S. for 19 years.

Coffey was eliminated sixth in a team challenge with her partner-nemesis Tyson on the first season of "Shear Genius."
