'Raising the Bar,' 'Leverage,' 'Trust Me' coming in next few months

Three new series are headed to TNT in the coming months, ensuring a nearly unbroken string of originals on the network into 2009.

The network has stated of goal of having all original programming on three nights of the week by 2010, and the trio of new shows -- "Raising the Bar," "Leverage" and "Trust Me" -- will help get to that goal. Along with "The Closer" and "Saving Grace," both of which premiere next week, the new shows will give TNT original programs on the air for the next nine months or so.

"Raising the Bar," a legal drama from producer Steven Bochco (" NYPD Blue"), will be first out of the gate on Monday, Sept. 1. The show stars "Blue" alumnus Mark-Paul Gosselaar as a New York City public defender and also features Gloria Reuben ("ER") as his boss and Jane Kaczmarek ("Malcolm in the Middle") as a judge with whom he frequently clashes.

"Leverage," in which Timothy Hutton ("Kidnapped," "The Good Shepherd") helps people pursue justice by means other than the legal system, will follow in December. The show, executive produced and directed by Dean Devlin ("Independence Day"), also stars Gina Bellman ("Coupling"), Aldis Hodge ("Friday Night Lights"), Christian Kane ("Angel") and Beth Riesgraf ("Alvin and the Chipmunks").

"Trust Me" (formerly called "Truth in Advertising") is scheduled for a January 2009 premiere. It stars Tom Cavanagh ("Ed," "Love Monkey") and Eric McCormack ("Will & Grace") as friends and colleagues at a Chicago ad agency.
