Tristan Wilds will be adopted into the Mills family

A new boy has joined the class in West Beverly High.

Tristan Wilds has landed the male lead in the CW's buzz-about " Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He joins the Mills family as their adopted son Dixon. So far, the three-generation family includes drunken grandmother Tabitha Mills (Jessica Walter), daughter-in-law Celia ( Lori Loughlin), granddaughter Annie (Shenae Grimes) and her son, who has yet to be cast. The family has moved to Beverly Hills because of Tabitha's alcholism.

Wilds joins the previously cast Jessica Stroup, AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan and Ryan Eggold.

Wilds, 19, is best recognized as tragic young gang member Michael Lee in the acclaimed HBO series "The Wire."
