The CW's Sunday series are shutting down production temporarily.

The MRC-produced scripted series " Valentine" and " Easy Money" will go on 4- to 6-week hiatus, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Although both shows still plan on fulfilling their 13-episode orders, the hiatuses are planned to give writers time to catch up on scripts.

Both shows debuted on Sunday, Oct. 5, but in their second airing, "Valentine" only attracted an average of 1 million viewers, earning a 0.4 rating/1 share among adults 28-49, while the critically well-received "Easy Money" followed with a mere 750,000 viewers, down 25 percent from its premiere.

Independent producer MRC had signed a deal with The CW to program their Sunday night lineup. Along with the two scripted series are alternative programming "4Real" and " In Harm's Way."

"Valentine" tells of a family of Greek gods bent on uniting soul mates in LA, while "Easy Money" focuses on the Buffkin family, who owns a high-interest payday loan business.
