Vanessa Hudgens Sued for Unpaid Fees
'High School Musical' and its sequel netted the star millions, and her ex-lawyer wants his cut
A lawyer has sued the actress for unpaid fees totalling about $150,000, report news sources.
In a lawsuit filed Monday, Sept. 17, claims that Hudgens, 18, violated a written contract that stated she would pay Brian L. Schall 5 percent of her earnings while he was representing her for legal matters. He estimates that the period began in October 2005 and that she has since earned $5 million since then, thus owing him a balance of $150,000 after paying "some, but not all" fees.
There's no comment from Hudgens' camp.
The starlet has recently been in the news for nude pictures of her that have surfaced on the Internet.
Hudgens is best known for her starring role as the plucky Gabriella in the Disney Channel "High School Musical" franchises and has guest starred on the network's various other shows. The premiere of "HSM 2" in August broke numerous records, including becoming the most-watched basic cable telecast ever, drawing in an estimated 17.2 million viewers.
Hudgens is reportedly dating her "HSM" costar Zac Efron, who is also featured in the film "Hairspray." She also released her solo debut album "V" in 2006.
