Drama series also drew the best adult demo to CBS

If it's Friday, then the viewers predictably must be at CBS. Yup, no surprises there.

CBS received a soft yet solid (much like a hard-boiled egg) 5.5 rating/10 share for the night, easily beating ABC, 4.2/8. NBC took third at 3.8/7. The CW, 2.4/4, edged FOX, 2.2/4, for fourth.

It was a similar story for adults 18-49, who gave CBS a 2.0 rating. ABC finished second at 1.7, NBC took third with a 1.4, just ahead of The CW 1.3. FOX drew a 1.1.

"Ghost Whisperer" started out strong for CBS with a 5.7/11 at 8 p.m. ABC's "TV's All Time Funniest" special gave the network second with a 4.0/8, well ahead of third-place NBC, which had a 2.8/6 for a rerun of "Most Outrageous Moments." "Friday Night Smackdown!" put The CW in fourth, just ahead of FOX's movie "Man of the House," 2.2/4.

"Moonlight's" 5.0/9 kept CBS in the lead at 9 o'clock, while ABC's "TV's All Time Funniest" performed consistently in second for a 4.6/8. NBC's "Dateline" moved the network up significantly with a 4.0/8. The CW's "Smackdown!" earned a 2.5/4 for the hour, squeaking by the conclusion of FOX's movie,2.4/4.

"Numb3rs" completed CBS' hat trick with a 5.8/11 at 10 p.m., while NBC finally moved into second with another hour of "Dateline" taking in a 4.5/8. ABC's "20/20" drew a 4.2/8.
