TV Ratings: 'Criminal Minds' Steals Wednesday for CBS
CBS also led in the adult 18-49 demo
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008.Despite softer pre-holiday viewing, CBS still easily won the ratings war on Wednesday night.
Overall, CBS averaged an 6.9 rating/12 share, ahead of the almost tied ABC, 4.7/8, and FOX, 4.6/8. NBC took fourth with a 3.9/7, while The CW stayed firmly in fifth with a 0.6/1.
It was a similar story in the adult 18-49 demographic, with CBS winning with a 2.9 rating. FOX caught second place with a 2.2, giving third place with a 2.0 rating. NBC's 1.5 rating took fourth, ahead of 0.4 rating for The CW.
FOX started the night in first place with a 6.1/11 for " Bones." CBS' comedies "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried" did a 4.8/9 for the hour. Over on NBC, "Rosie's Variety Show" was third, 3.5/6, with ABC's "Pushing Daisies" only pulling in a 2.7/5 for fourth. A " Stylista" repeat finished last.
In the 9 o'clock hour, CBS pushed to first with a 8.5/15 for " Criminal Minds." ABC took second with a 4.1/7 for " Private Practice," just nipping NBC's third place, 4.0/7, with "Deal or Not Deal." A "House" repeat on FOX scored a 3.1/5 for fourth. The "Stylista" clip show episode did worse than the repeat an hour earlier, only scoring a 0.5/1.
In the 10 p.m. hour, ABC's " Barbara Walters Special" in which she interviewed president-elect Barack Obama and his family tied with CBS' " CSI: NY" with a 7.4/13. NBC's " Law & Order" trailed with a 4.2/7.
