Reality Rules for NBC Monday
'Gladiators,' 'Deal' push Peacock to the top
Fast National ratings for Monday, Jan. 21, 2008NBC's unscripted shows pushed the network to the top of the ratings Monday, beating a mix of new and old programming elsewhere.
For the night, NBC earned a 6.9 rating/11 share to beat out CBS' 6.0/9. FOX took third with a 5.0/8, edging ABC's 4.9/8 (FOX had about 900,000 more viewers). The CW trailed with a 1.2/2.
NBC also snagged the top spot among adults 18-49 with a 4.0 rating. FOX, 3.3, finished second in the key demographic, followed by CBS at 3.1. ABC averaged 2.2 and The CW 0.7.
ABC's "Dance War" (6.7/10) won the 8 p.m. hour in households, but "American Gladiators," 5.5/8, brought in just a few more total viewers. "Prison Break," 4.7/7, gave FOX the No. 3 spot in viewers, topping reruns of "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS. The CW averaged 1.2/2 with repeats of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Aliens in America."
"Deal or No Deal," 8.5/13, earned the night's best rating for NBC at 9 p.m. CBS moved up to second with repeats of "Two and a Half Men," 7.3/11, and "Rules of Engagement," 5.5/8. "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" scored a 5.3/8 for FOX. ABC fell to fourth with the conclusion of "Dance War," 6.2/9, and "Notes from the Underbelly," 3.3/5. Reruns of "Girlfriends" and "The Game" aired on The CW.
At 10 p.m., a "CSI: Miami" rerun, 6.9/11, on CBS edged NBC's "Medium," 6.6/11, for the lead. Both were well clear of ABC's "October Road," which drew a 3.4/6.
